Église Saint-Germain de Beaugeay

The small church of the parish of Saint Germain de Beaugeay has been extensively altered. It was probably erected in the 11th century, but the only surviving space of this construction campaign is a double semicircular horseshoe supported on two massive pillars flanked by engaged columns, which have been preserved during the construction of the semicircular nave, a century later. During the 13th century, it was enriched with a Gothic choir and two transepts. After the wars of religion, it was the object of major works. Its facade is surmounted by a comb bell tower.
