A family history with the Rochefort region. For more than 3 centuries, the 4 seasons market and the fish, shellfish and seafood market have been the meeting place of the inhabitants.
Built in 1672, the market halls had a framework with remarkable characteristics for the time. In 1851, the town undertook the construction of the current building in which merchants, the commercial court and the stock exchange were installed. In 1851, the town undertook the construction of the current building in which merchants, the commercial court and the stock exchange were installed. Since 1970, the first floor has housed the current congress centre. The ground floor is still occupied by fish and other fresh produce traders. Imagine eating oysters (or charcuterie) while enjoying a local wine.
