  • At the heart of the Naval Dockyard of the Sun King, you’ll find the Royal Rope Factory, prestigious 374 meters long manufacture built in 1666. For two centuries, the Corderie Royale manufactured the ropes of the Royal Navy's vessels.

The International Center of the Sea renovated its museographic space for a unique visiting experience.
At the beginning of the visit, an immersive show plunges you into the history of the Corderie Royale.
Through the workshops and interactive experiments, discover the primary function of the building, that of the transformation of the material through its various stages : spinning, laying, knot making...
The Corderie Royale also houses a bookshop specialized in the maritime domain.

Excellent
  • A voir
