Fountain of the dead

  • The fountain known as the Fountain of the Dead, which has been tastefully restored, is located next to the cemetery, near the church.
    Saint-Nazaire also has the Fontpourri or Fontpoury fountain (2 Chemin de la Source) and the Orange fountain. These two fountains form a stream where watercress grows as well as arums.
    These three springs are covered by an ashlar aedicula which serves as a reservoir to supply the Lupin fountain - the best known. Shreds of pipe still remain. The Orange...
