Visite Guidée de l'Atelier du Bégonia d'Or

Museum in Rochefort

  • In 1666, King Louis XIV chose Rochefort to build an Naval Dockyard. In this epitome of a seafaring town, goldwork seemed a natural option.
The workshop was opened in 1995, following a close collaboration with Rochefort's municipality and the Lycée Jamain (the only school training students in goldwork).
Sylvie Deschamps, with the prestigious "maître d'art" title, and her co-workers welcome visitors to a unique site that is only open to the public on reservation.
