A concert of Renaissance music and songs

The Mandragore ensemble was founded in 2018 in Auvergne by musicians who, drawing on their experience in early music and dance, came together through a shared passion. They are delighted to share the charm of this music and these songs from a bygone era through the arrangements they have created for various instruments such as the hurdy-gurdy, the flute, the voice, the shawm, or the cello, sometimes accompanied by percussion.
As an introduction and presentation of the pieces, a narrated section takes us on a journey across Europe, back to the Renaissance era.
