Following two memorable editions of the ‘OHLALA Festival’ in 2019 and 2023, organised by the Aix-based association Anim’Aix, this cultural venture is taking on a new lease of life. The founding team has set up a new association, named ‘Le Fil AïA’, and chosen a new name for its flagship event: ‘AïA FESTIVAL’.
A participatory, community-rooted and socially committed festival.

The founding team has set up a new association, named ‘Le Fil AïA’, and chosen a new name for its flagship event: ‘AïA FESTIVAL’.
A participatory, community-rooted and socially committed festival.
Designed for all generations and all audiences, the festival remains true to its DNA: accessible to all, joyful, family-friendly, participatory and 100% upcycled. At the crossroads of the performing arts and environmental issues, it brings together artistic creation and awareness-raising around waste reduction and reuse, particularly marine waste. Its ambition: to foster a collective experience, both cultural and ecological, by directly involving the island’s communities in the creative process.
The festival will feature:
- A participatory local village
- A highly creative children’s area
- Workshops raising awareness of reducing and reusing marine waste
- A pop-up recycling centre on the theme of the sea
- Immersive and enchanting live performances at various locations across the island
Every evening, festival-goers gather in the village at Place d’Austerlitz for a huge musical celebration – popular, joyful, family-friendly and dance-filled – featuring a mix of local and national acts.
