A fun and literary writing workshop

Join us at Le Clos, the marina in Rochefort, two Wednesdays a month from 6.30 pm to 8 pm.

Writing workshops are spaces for free expression where everyone can give themselves permission to write according to their own creativity, based on a theme, a prompt, an author, a book or writing exercises. 100 per cent of participants manage to write! You’ll be guided along the paths of reading and writing, to demystify our relationship with words and turn them into a living, joyful subject. It’s also a way to get to know yourself better, meet others and connect with them. There are only good reasons to write… which one will be yours?

During the workshops, you’ll have the chance to engage with Boris Vian, Marguerite Duras, Jacques Prévert, Cécile Coulon, Thomas Vinau, Sei Shonagon, Françoise Héritier, Michel Vezina, Gabrielle Filteau Chiba, Patrick Chamoiseau, Oprah Winfrey, Julia Kerninon, Arthur Teboul, Lisette Lombé, Daniel Pennac, Orianne Papin, Jack Kerouac, Maya Angelou and Philippe Delerm. ..

How does it work? You book your place online, but payment is made on the day of the workshop by cheque or in cash. On the day of the workshop, bring something to write with, along with a touch of curiosity and a willingness to let go. On the programme: readings of literary extracts, games and writing prompts to let your imagination run wild. And sometimes even music, film clips, reproductions of paintings, card games or dice games… Anything is possible! The workshop’s title gives you an idea of its style; as for the rest, it’s a surprise… We take it in turns to read our texts aloud. It’s often really enjoyable to share this experience and build on what others in the workshop have written. If you don’t want to, that’s fine too.
