Antioche Kayak : Green walk in the Rochefort marshes

The Charras canal lies to the north of the Rochefort Océan marshes. Situated halfway between Rochefort and Fouras, this pleasant waterway invites you to stroll along in complete safety, especially for children aged 6 and over. The walk starts at the old lock-keeper's house and continues there and back. Your nautical guide will welcome you either on site or at the base of the Port Sud de Fouras. Car pooling from the base can be arranged.
The canal is an integral part of life in Rochefort Océan. The marshes have been shaped by man over the centuries for very specific reasons. Your nautical guide will tell you all about this history.

As soon as an orange heatwave alert is in place, sessions are held from 8am to 1pm and 5pm to 9pm.
A water bottle refill point is available in our shaded reception area.
We advise you to dress appropriately; bring water bottles, a cap, long sleeves, sun protection, sunglasses, etc.
