A LOTI 2026 Weekend: Act I – The Great Journey of Colours |

ACT I of your LOTI-filled weekend. Get ready for an extraordinary and utterly magical adventure in Rochefort! The town is transported to India and transformed into a veritable festival of colour, music and magic.

The event is 100% FREE and open to everyone!
Dress code: dig out your most colourful clothes!

THE EVENING’S PROGRAMME:

The Grand Children’s & Families’ Parade
(Meet at Square Trivier / Pierre Loti Monument)

> 5.00 pm: Welcome and Bindi workshop to get you in the mood.
> 5.30 pm: The parade sets off! Come and dance to the wild rhythms of the Batucada and keep your eyes peeled for... the world’s greatest Fakir!
> 6.30 pm: Triumphant arrival of the procession at Place Colbert. (Please note: children must be accompanied).
> From 6.30 pm: Non-stop entertainment on Place Colbert
The party continues with plenty of surprises for the whole family:
- The incredible elephant-calling contest
- Face-painting and mandala workshops
- Photo booths to capture your best smiles
Music, a flashmob and a special children’s festival of colours (with streamers)!

> 8.30 pm: Official launch of the Loti des Indes EVENING (Place Colbert)
Give the prestigious Maharajah of Rochefancore the welcome he deserves! On the programme: a huge group flashmob followed by the much-anticipated Holi Loti!

A giant throwing of pigments to colour the sky and your faces. (A word of advice: avoid wearing your most delicate clothes!)

> 9.30 pm: The Grand Procession to the Arsenal
Follow the Maharajah, his imperial court, the majestic elephant and the world’s greatest Fakir on a dazzling, festive procession towards the Rochefort Arsenal.

> 10.00 pm: The Grand Finale “Loti des Indes”
Round off this magical evening in style with a spectacular show combining theatre, dance, music and song under the stars.
