Tell me how you dress, I'll tell you who you are!
What we wear says a lot about us. Especially in adolescence, when our identity is being built. How to respond to the sartorial injunctions of one's time and age while remaining oneself? What we wear says a lot about us. Especially in adolescence, when our identity is being built. How to respond to the sartorial injunctions of one's time and age while remaining oneself? This is the question that Tony Melvil and Marie Levavasseur ask themselves here in song. With poetry and humour, this total show encourages us to distance ourselves from the straitjacket of fashion, the dictate of propriety. Through original songs, surprising costumes, and an ever-changing visual scenography, this pop fantasy invites us to go beyond preconceived ideas. We joyfully question codes and their diversions, while refusing the tyranny of appearances to better reinvent ourselves every day. Three musician-singers and an actress bring to life this 'stylish' concert, where the drums are played standing up, the guitar is worn in pajamas, and the voices intertwine to celebrate the freedom to be oneself. Between rock energy and eclectic sounds, exuberance and simplicity, this strange band with a colorful and contagious eccentricity takes us on a tender and benevolent sound journey. On stage, clothing also becomes the mirror of concerns about gender, formatting, recycling, overconsumption or the more general quest for meaning.
