La Corderie Royale – International Maritime Centre welcomes you for an immersive experience of a unique architectural heritage in the heart of Rochefort.
Through the permanent exhibition ‘La Corderie: a life of workshops’, discover the history and activities of this former rope-making factory. This is an opportunity to rediscover the twists and turns this building has experienced over the years.

The temporary exhibition “TOTEMS”: Make your way through a tangle of ropes to admire, in the heart of secret clearings where totems stand, some sixty textile and photographic works. Through a unique sensory experience, Coco Fronsac and Jim Skull create a dialogue between the history of the site and their artistic vision. Come and explore this dreamlike world where ancestral craftsmanship meets contemporary boldness.
