Exhibition: Pleasures and Days, Fouras 1900

A photographic journey through an exceptional collection of 68 gelatin bromide plates dating from 1900, recently rediscovered and now preserved at the Rochefort Media Library.
These images, captured by an anonymous photographer at Villa Mansanson, reveal a seaside afternoon of the era: market, beach, walks in the woods, regattas and fishermen's festivals... So many moments that echo the pleasures still alive in Fouras today.

Organised by the Association La Drôlesse in Fouras, the exhibition will offer an immersive journey through the town, inviting visitors and residents to recognise the Fouras of today in that of 1900 and to be moved by the sights and scenes of the past.

A QR code will provide access to a temporary website retracing this journey through time, and a book may accompany the event.
A true encounter between memory, heritage and seaside charm, to be discovered throughout the summer of 2026.
