    Competition overview

To mark World Wetlands Day 2026, the Atlantic Marshes Forum is organising a photo competition on the theme of ‘Marshes and wetlands in Charente-Maritime’.

The competition is free and open to everyone!

Send in your best photos of landscapes, plants, animals, human activities, traditional uses or developments found in the wetlands of Charente-Maritime (marshes, coastlines, ponds, etc.). For inspiration, you can draw on the national theme for 2026: ‘Wetlands and traditional knowledge: celebrating cultural heritage’.

This competition is an opportunity to showcase the diversity of wetlands in Charente-Maritime, but also to highlight the richness of biodiversity and all the traditional and cultural uses associated with them, in order to protect them.

    How to enter

The prize for the winning photo will be awarded on Sunday 8 February at the Atlantic Marshes Forum during the open day, and the top 10 photos will be displayed in the Forum lobby throughout February.

To take part, send your photos before 26 January 2026 by email in JPEG format to qjordan-meille@forum-marais-atl.com, specifying your surname, first name or username, your contact details (email and telephone number), the title of your photo, the place and date it was taken, and possibly a few sentences of explanation.
