Le Petit détournement is an improvised dubbing show, where cinema becomes a formidable playground. Inspired by Michel Hazanavicius and Dominique Mézerette's cult TV movie, Le Grand détournement, this jubilant event reinvents live dialogues, sound effects and scene music from great classics, cult series, auteur films, blockbusters or even tasty dwarfs.
Under the guidance of a master of ceremonies who is as mischievous as he is a cinephile, the three actors discover the video excerpts at the same time as the audience. Without preparation, they invent characters, situations and lines, while a musician composes a new soundtrack live. Improvisation challenges, words proposed by the audience, unexpected constraints or stories woven around an actor's filmography: each performance is built before the eyes of the spectators and is unlike any other.
At the crossroads of improvisational theatre and cinema, Le Petit détournement has been celebrating the pleasure of acting, collective creativity and complicity with the audience for more than ten years.
