Her voice, virtuoso and playful, is constantly metamorphosing: she tells, dances, whispers, bursts out laughing, invents imaginary languages and gives birth to ephemeral characters. Each concert becomes a space of spontaneity and joy, where emotion rubs shoulders with creative audacity. Alone on stage, in her nymph's dress adorned with her overgrown crown, at once an ancient creature, a joker or an opera singer, Leïla Martial delivers a furiously personal piece, crossing her worlds with humour and poetry. She composes sounds in all directions, nourished by her travels among Gypsies or Pygmies, her mastery of jazz and her sense of improvisation. And in her interpretation of Bach's Prelude, she proves to be truly prodigious by blowing little miniatures into the neck!
