Jazz Wednesdays invites you to (re)discover the town of Échillais.

5.00 pm: Guided tour of the Romanesque church
The pride of Échillais for centuries, the Romanesque church of ‘Notre-Dame’, listed as a historic monument, holds many secrets. The town of Échillais invites you to take a journey back through the history of this building during a guided tour led by Gilbert LEBRAS, a former councillor and local history enthusiast.

7pm: AKAGERA “Traverse”
The Akagera trio offers a unique, singular and spellbinding soundscape in which genres intertwine to bring to life a jazz that is open to the world, with entirely new and unconventional arrangements. Composed from improvisation sessions, their new album “Traverse” reflects the diversity of each musician’s background and influences: classical and contemporary music for Benoît, the fusion of South American and Caribbean styles for Stéphane, and African rhythms and Brazilian grooves for David, whilst reaffirming their shared passion for jazz.
