The Hèbre Museum welcomes you for the 42nd European Heritage Days.

Housed in a former 18th-century mansion, renovated in 2006 by architect Pierre-Louis Faloci, the Hèbre Museum brings together the Museum of Art and History and the Heritage Department.
It houses the Centre for the Interpretation of Architecture and Heritage (CIAP), which traces the evolution of Rochefort, notably with a relief map from 1835 created by engineer Pierre-Marie Touboulic.
The museum also offers a rich collection of paintings, contemporary Kanak art and Australian Aboriginal art, including an important series of bark paintings from Arnhem Land, one of the most remarkable in France after that of the Musée du Quai Branly.
The cabin of the frigate La Flore, reconstructed in 2023, evokes Pierre Loti's first voyage to the Pacific. It bears witness to his connection with Easter Island and presents facsimiles of objects and drawings inspired by this seminal journey.
