Filmed mainly on the site of the former Navy hospital, this film featured talented actors, as well as numerous small roles played by residents of Rochefort.
‘Le Bal des Folles’ tells the story of Eugénie, a young woman whose father has her locked up in the Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital, where women deemed hysterical or mentally unstable were confined in the 19th century.
