NATIONAL NAVAL MUSEUM – Hôtel de Cheusses
Located in the former residence of naval commanders, the National Naval Museum traces four centuries of maritime history. From the creation of the arsenal in the late 17th century to the development of naval aviation in the 20th century, it tells the story of the Navy in Rochefort while opening onto a broader global maritime perspective. Models, tools, paintings, and sculptures reflect the arsenal’s activities, including shipbuilding.
Escape Game “To the Diving Station!” – 5:00 pm and 6:30 pm
Inside a submarine, a serious malfunction puts your crew in danger. Work together to find clues, overcome obstacles, and save the sailors and your vessel… Hurry, time is running out!
Collection Visits
During the Arsenal Mondays, the museum remains open until 7 pm. The end of the day offers a special opportunity to explore the collections in a calm and relaxed atmosphere.

Take a peaceful break beneath the cherry tree in the calm and restful setting of the King’s Kitchen Garden, in good company. Let yourself be carried away by tales of extraordinary journeys and explore unusual musical worlds.

LOTI, A STAY IN BEIJING
In August 1900, having just returned from Persia, Loti sets off again for China aboard the Redoutable, joining the international fleet engaged in the Boxer Rebellion. He brings back a post-war account filled with striking and sometimes harrowing images, where the collapse of a world intertwines with the wonder of discovering one of humanity’s oldest civilisations. This would become the book “The Last Days of Beijing”.
Musical reading with guide Maryse Vila-Cornellas, accompanied by musician Nolwenn Skolle (flute, vocals).

L’ACCRO-MÂTS
A unique treetop adventure inspired by the frigate L’Hermione: climb from 6 to 30 metres high, move from mast to mast, and become a sailor for an evening! During Arsenal Mondays, enjoy late openings with departures until 9 pm and closing at 10 pm.
LE RADE DE LA MÉDUSE
Right next door, this seaside-style guinguette is the perfect place to enjoy a drink or a bite during the summer season, with concerts, dance classes, and weekly events. During Arsenal Mondays, a DJ keeps the atmosphere going before and after the concerts for a festive evening at the foot of the Accro-Mâts.
