Ouaga 2000 showcases the music and dances of West Africa in a tasty mix of traditional and contemporary music, collective choreography and graphic creations, where sometimes the spectator is a projection canvas.
On stage, the choreographer and singer Evelyne Mambo, accompanied by musicians Gurvan Loudoux and Amadou Diao, invites young and old to dive into a universe nourished by their childhood memories and the maquis of Burkina Faso and Côte d'Ivoire, these places of life and sharing where music resonates at the top of its lungs.
With an assumed groove and a contagious joy, Ouaga 2000 explores the sound and cultural treasures of West Africa, between intimate memory and living heritage.
