The L’Or-en-Ciel association is organising the 4th edition of its puppet and storytelling festival in Rochefort, with this year's theme being: The Marvellous, in partnership with Le Clos.
A weekend entirely dedicated to puppetry and storytelling, the main objective being to allow a wide audience to discover these still little-known arts, which appeal to all age groups. The public will be able to enjoy a wide range of different shows.
The idea behind the festival is to welcome several companies of puppeteers and storytellers who will perform over two days. These are professional artists or artists in the process of becoming professionals.
Some shows will be performed outdoors, others indoors for darkness requirements. Some will be paid and tickets will be available.
A few exhibitors from several regions of France will also be present, and we will set up puppet-making stands and an open stage. A puppet jam session will take place on Saturday evening to allow interaction between the artists present, who generally do not have the opportunity to see each other's shows. They will each have 8-10 minutes to present their work.
