Thomas Meuret initially intended to sell musical instruments, but during his business studies he discovered the craft of instrument making. Four years later, with his CAP (vocational training certificate) in hand, he continued his training to obtain a Brevet des Métiers d'Art (vocational training certificate in arts and crafts), focusing on apprenticeship. From then on, Thomas Meuret sought to bring innovative elements to his creations, both technically and aesthetically. When he creates a custom-made instrument, he believes that the object should reflect the character traits of its owner in the accuracy of its form and the subtlety of its sound. His creations are sometimes named after goddesses or heroes from mythology, reminding us that wood is a source of legend and popular belief.
Michaal Benjeloun (Gaëlle Buswell's guitarist) will present and play Thomas Meuret's guitars on display and share his thoughts and impressions.
