Skate on stage

The Tigers association, which has been committed for several years to developing and promoting skateboarding in the Rochefort area, is organising the latest edition of its flagship event: SKATE ON STAGE.

Following a successful inaugural event two years ago, this latest edition builds on the work already undertaken, whilst retaining the identity and spirit of previous events — thanks in particular to an already active community on social media and strong local roots.

A major new development: the partnership with LAMPLI
The main new feature of this year’s event is a partnership with the LAMPLI association, a recognised player on the Rochefort cultural scene. This collaboration enables a programme of live music to be incorporated throughout the day, transforming a simple sporting contest into a genuine community event combining sport, culture and a friendly atmosphere.

A free, community-building event
SKATE ON STAGE combines skateboarding, live music and food, thanks to the presence of local food trucks. The aim is to offer a free event accessible to all, capable of bringing together skateboarders, families, local residents and visitors to celebrate urban culture. The event is expected to attract between 250 and 400 visitors over the course of the day, with 30 to 50 skateboarders taking part.

Programme for the day

10.00–12.00: Skateboarding taster session open to all
12.00–14.00: Open practice and lunch break
14.00–16.00: Contests by age group (under 13s, 13–18s, over 18s)
5.00 pm: Final / Best Tricks
7.00 pm: Prize-giving ceremony
7.30 pm–10.00 pm: Main concert and food and drink
