Shuling Liu's residency exhibition

Since 15 October, the Centre International de la Mer-La Corderie Royale has been hosting visual artist Shuling LIU for research and exploration work on her future installation entitled ‘Le Phare des Ruisseaux’ (The Lighthouse of the Streams).
Researching boat plans, meeting with sailors, testing the manufacture of ropes in different materials and colours, visiting the Palus rope factory in Corrèze... Shuling LIU has been able to immerse herself in the maritime culture of the Corderie.
Come and meet her to discuss her artistic practice and her work. The installation will be presented in February at the Chapelle des Dames Blanches in La Rochelle. With this project, Shuling Liu won the Coopération, Création et Territoires 2025 call for projects, co-developed with the Réseau Astre and funded by the French State/Ministry of Culture-DRAC Nouvelle-Aquitaine and the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region.
