‘Aux bons moments’, a travelling bar with an old-fashioned guinguette feel, will be serving aperitif platters of local charcuterie and cheeses, as well as small snacks.
Popcorn and ice creams will also be available throughout the evening.

*At 8.30pm, Thierry Sauzeau will introduce the film ‘L'évolution du trait de côte en Saintonge maritime : du havre de Brouage à sa transformation en marais (du Moyen-âge à aujourd'hui)’.

Summary: to the south of the River Charente, between Brouage, Oléron and Royan, the region has long been known as the "Pays des Isles de Marennes", and we will be looking at what this archipelago of yesteryear has become today, between seaside resorts, oyster-farming areas, agricultural marshes and managed natural areas.

Thierry Sauzeau is a professor of history at Poitiers University, director of the Criham laboratory and chairman of the scientific board of GiS Histoire et sciences de la mer. He is also interested in the history of coastal landscapes, from the point of view of development, uses and risks.

*At 10pm, screening of the documentary film ‘L'océan vu du coeur’
Directed by Iolande Cadrin-Rossignol and Marie-Dominique Michaud.

In ‘L'Océan vu du cœur’, the sequel to ‘La Terre vue du cœur’, Hubert Reeves, surrounded by passionate scientists and explorers, invites us to rediscover what threatens the ocean, and above all to explore its phenomenal capacity for regeneration. It's a hymn to life at its richest, most precious and most necessary if we are to survive, along with other species, on our blue planet.
This film has a very strong resonance for our village, where the ocean once reached the forecourt of Saint Symphorien church.

Ideally, you should bring deckchairs, plaids, mosquito repellent and binoculars
(in the event of bad weather, the village hall can be used as an alternative).
