Great explorers of new circus territories, Maroussia Diaz Verbèke and Élodie Royer take us where we least expect them, by creating a show-experience, which relies first and foremost on the senses rather than language. The two acolytes have summoned their childlike souls and invited these young budding spectators to express themselves during residency times. The result is a fifty-minute creation, in which two circus artists dance and dialogue on stage with a musician. Acrobatic lifts are at the heart of the narrative, focusing on the sensation of being carried, rocked, lifted or even climbing on the body of adults.
The movements of the performers extend like a hand extended towards the spectators, creating new compositions and ensembles. Instead of words, a live soundtrack dialogues with the acrobats. Punctuated by a few scenographic surprises, this most sensitive show reveals all the poetry of childlike spontaneity.
