2.30pm: Writing workshop - Correspondence with a river
Here, the river becomes an interlocutor. Travelled from source to estuary, encountered, tasted and observed, it comes to life. In this writing workshop, Blandine Giambiasi invites participants to start a correspondence with the Charente: writing to the river, writing with it. An invitation to turn our intangible heritage into a living culture, between poetry and cuisine, food and geography.


4pm: Meet and greet and book signing
A river is a line on a map. And much more than that.
Through this meeting, Blandine Giambiasi shares a sensitive vision of the Charente: a living, nuanced culture, shaped by time and by those who live in contact with it.
From the land to stories, from nourishing landscapes to river cuisine, this conversation aims to reveal the less visible landscapes of the river, to forge links between nature and culture, water and food.
The meeting will be followed by a book signing of her book ‘Le goût d'un fleuve, la Charente’ (The Taste of a River, the Charente) - a travelogue, a collection of recipes and a map of the river. With the Corderie Royale bookshop.
