Heritage Days - Former Royal Foundries

On the occasion of the 42nd edition of European Heritage Days, the LPO invites you to discover its national headquarters, located in the Royal Foundries: an iconic, often overlooked monument of the great arsenal built by Louis XIV, yet essential to Rochefort's military heritage.
Make an appointment to explore the history of the former foundries and the missions of the LPO.
Guided tours by reservation (duration: 1 hour).

A team from the LPO will welcome you throughout the weekend and on Saturday 20 September from 2pm to 4pm you can discover the exhibition ‘An Ocean Under Pressure’, specially installed for the occasion. It highlights the threats to marine biodiversity and reminds us that everyone can take action to protect it, whether we live by the sea, in the plains or in the mountains.
