Étienne Manceau and Mathieu Despoisse, circus artists, digress among friends on the theme of love between couples. With humour and defiance, they put their thoughts to the test with the ultimate love killer: assembling an Ikea piece of furniture. In this case, the iconic Kallax shelf unit, 4 x 2 compartments, white lacquered. Irresistible!

Forming a mischievous, multi-talented duo on stage, manipulating objects, juggling and performing acrobatics, they tackle the subject in the middle of an unusual two-sided stage set, designed by cabinetmaker Bram Dobbelaere, which places the audience at the heart of the debate.

Drawing on their personal experiences, stories collected from friends, and books on the subject... (including Fabcaro's album Moins qu'hier, plus que demain, in which the well-known comic book author paints a rather caustic portrait of the couple), the duo attempts to understand, screw and glue, deconstruct and reconstruct the notions of intimacy, love, disillusionment... And therefore, couples!

Everything becomes an excuse for play. The slightest technical gesture is transformed into a circus act, the slightest difficulty into a moment of complicity or irritation. And that's where the magic happens: without ever resorting to caricature, the duo weaves a story that is funny, subtle and deeply human.
