Spectacle : 1945, Montierneuf libéré

The aim of this show is to take spectators back to the liberation of 1945 and to celebrate the 80th anniversary of this event in a variety of ways by revisiting the period with a bit of humour and a few re-enactments.

The entertainment will include theatrical and burlesque performances, dance and music demonstrations from the 1940s, exhibitions of vintage civilian and military vehicles, and a ‘liberation ball’ on Saturday evening under the Tivoli with a parquet floor. All in the atmosphere of 1945.
These performances will take place several times in the afternoon over the 2 days. For the daytime part, the public will be invited to move around the Montierneuf site, following the Galipotes troupe in various sketches and watching demonstrations of tap, swing, shim-sham and charleston dancing, as well as enjoying various musical groups. The ‘reconstitution 17’ association will be lending its support to this event (reconstituted military camp, uniforms, military machines).
The night-time entertainment will take place under the tivoli and will consist of a retro ball with live bands and a sound system, including swing, musette, fox trot, paso, etc....
