A modern, funny and playful fable, combining visual theatre and puppetry, Semeurs de panique questions our relationship with nature, threatened by climate change.
The world is on fire, drought is gaining ground. Jo, a fearless young heroine, sets off in search of a magical deer capable of regenerating life. Accompanied by Gentiane, her pet frog, and a coalition of rabbits and foxes, she confronts Despéranda, a mischievous figure of renunciation who has pushed adults to abandon our earthly paradise to greed and destruction.
With humour, courage and unwavering resistance, this battalion of hope spreads panic to drive back drought and despair! Without ever succumbing to moralism, author Mathilde Souchaud delicately addresses fundamental themes such as ecological disasters, friendship, death and the refusal to give up.
Live video and black theatre allow this story to unfold, punctuated by magical effects that spark new imaginations. The puppets, invented here by director Pier Porcheron, manage to reconcile humans with plants and animals, for the greater good of the planet.
Carried by dialogues imbued with sincerity and generosity, this creation invites us to dream of another world. Ultimately, the author delivers an incisive text that gives voice to the small and insignificant, who, without warning, can change many things.
