Around the fire, shadows dance like stories suspended in the air. The crackling of the wood mingles with voices that come alive one after another. In days gone by, storytelling evenings were sacred moments, where the flickering firelight bore witness to a thousand and one tales. Here, everyone—young or old—knew they could speak, sharing their story, their legend, their dream.

The crackling of the wood mingles with voices that come alive one after another. In days gone by, storytelling evenings were sacred moments, where the flickering firelight bore witness to a thousand and one tales. Here, everyone—young or old—knew they could speak, sharing their story, their legend, their dream.
Stories from times past, wonderful epics where men met fantastic creatures—these gatherings were not reserved for seasoned storytellers. A shy child, an elderly lady, or a passing visitor could also be swept away by the magic of the moment. “Come, tell us your tale!”
What to expect:
An open-mic style event where everyone can drop the title(s) of a story into a hat to share with the audience gathered around the fire. The storytellers Stéphanie, Sophie, Marie-Christine, and Laurence from the L’Or-en-Ciel storytellers’ workshop, led by Laurence Stajnowicz, will set the tone and present one or two tales they have worked on during the year.
It promises to be a magical moment open to all.
Doors open at 7:30 pm with a bar and catering featuring local and/or organic produce.
