    ABDELKRIM SAIFI
Abdelkrim Saifi pays tribute to his parents, who moved from Biskra in Algeria to Haumont in northern France in 1948. A life of work for the parents, but also the life of a child and a teenager in the 1960s, then of an adult turned journalist who retraces the life of his family and the news of half a century. Blending the intimate and the political, ‘Si j'avais un franc’, a luminous family autobiography, gives voice to the men and women of Algerian immigration who suffered exploitation and contempt, and pays tribute to a father and mother who were condemned to heroism in spite of themselves.
    - Si j'avais un franc", Anne Carrière, 2023
The meeting will be followed by a book signing.

    8pm: Concert
    ZAR ELECTRIK
Zar Electrik is a trio from Marseille, active on the Mediterranean scene. Anass Zine's bewitching voice with its North African influences, accompanied by traditional instruments such as the oud and the gumbri, blends subtly with Arthur Péneau's deep voice. The latter introduces his hybrid African influences through his kora, which he mystifies with electric effects. Composer and producer Did Miosine adds the finishing touch. He brings his knowledge and mastery of machines, synthesizers and the codes of electronic music. The result is an explosive mix that takes the audience to the edge of North Africa, in a veritable celebration of the festival. The three of them create a rich and generous music, a crossing between the Maghreb, Sub-Saharan Africa and the West.
