Guided tour of the transporter bridge

The guided tour is a 1 hour and 15 minute walk-through, mostly standing. It includes a round-trip crossing on the gondola, a visit to the "Maison du Transbordeur," and commentary from the guide.

The tour starts on the Rochefort side, near the reception area of the "Terrasses du Transbordeur." Please arrive 15 minutes early.

In the event of a red heatwave alert, the site is open from 8.30 am to 1 pm; guided tours are then rescheduled for the morning. The site offers the following services on both banks of the Charente: Drinking fountains / Water bottle refill points / Free water distribution.
