At his side, his mischievous assistant Goupil, a taxidermied fox turned puppet, has no intention of remaining in the shadows. Impertinent, mischievous and irresistibly funny, he hijacks each act, shakes up the rules of the cabaret and leads his partner into a succession of gags, illusions and surprises. Created by Étienne Saglio, a major figure of new magic, Goupil et Kosmao is a visual show where magic dialogues with the arts of puppetry and image theatre. Without a word, the duo composes a remarkably clear story, shaking the boundaries between reality and imagination. Little by little, the cabaret shifts into a universe that borrows as much from the unbridled fantasy of Tex Avery's cartoons as from the poetry of contemporary animated cinema.
