Words and drawings

The media library invites you to a unique evening where poetry and drawing come together live.
Philippe Baudry will read poems from his collection ‘Des mots se murmurent à l'horizon’ " (Stéphen Liégeard Poetry Prize 2025, 1st Wilfrid Lucas Prize and 2nd Luc Vuagnat Prize), accompanied by artist Bruno Frédal (DIRE 132), who will create illustrations in real time.
A Year 11 class from Lycée Merleau-Ponty will also take part in this illustrated reading, giving voice to several texts. They will bring to life the intimacy, emotions, sounds and rhythms of Philippe Baudry's poems.
Between words, lines, emotions and rhythms, experience a sensory immersion where each poem takes shape before your eyes.
The event will conclude with a discussion with the speakers and a book signing.
