Circus: The Ostrich Complex

A collective of tightrope walkers humorously transforms an ancestral acrobatic discipline, usually reserved for soloists, into a delightful collective creation involving nine performers. By constantly standing on their hands with their heads upside down, they twist the popular expression "sticking your head in the sand" into a joyous show of rare beauty.
Between them, they have accumulated 172 years' experience in 97 companies, and travelled through 42 countries. They've performed alone in cabarets and as a troupe in companies. They've experienced the full range of what's possible in their discipline. To the point where they felt the need to join forces and tell the story of their strange profession, with sincerity and self-mockery, the better to reinvent it.
To do so, they created this totally original show, which contains at least 417 balances in 7 minutes, 7 minutes without balancing, 1 balance that lasts 7 minutes, and which sees the pulp of 180 fingers brought together on the floor in an incongruous vertical ballet.
Beyond their obsession with numbers and upside-down performance, these tightrope walkers know better than anyone how to stun us with a multitude of figures, which follow one another at breakneck speed, revealing magnificent images. The rigour of their discipline and the inventiveness of their collective research are in total osmosis. You're blown away by the aesthetic harmony and choreographic originality. A true marvel.
