Clown course: the clown and his body (body play)
in Rochefort
-
This course is open to anyone interested in learning about clowning and the world of clowning, or in improving their skills.
Each day of the course will begin with a relaxation and warm-up session to make your body available and listen to yourself and your emotions.

The clown is a being who lives in the moment. They can do everything, but they can also do nothing. He knows what to do, especially when he doesn't know. In any case, he does. He's not trying to be funny; on the contrary, he's a sensitive, naive being who lives through dramatic situations, and it's the way he lives through them that moves us and makes us laugh and cry.
Work on clowning will therefore be based on learning different acting techniques, playful exercises and solo, duo or trio improvisations, through which we will seek to :
- expressing your imagination
- the sincerity of the performance
- listening to your emotions, those of your partner(s) and those of the audience,
- and, above all, the pleasure and freedom of performing.
The course is led by Cyrille LEDOUX: an actor and clown, he began acting in 2003 with Blanche Salant in Paris. Fascinated by silent films and the great masters of burlesque (Chaplin, Keaton), he discovered clowning with Mylène Lormier. He created his clown character, Halvard, and developed it in workshops and courses at the Samovar and the Théâtre du Faune, as well as performing with the Clowns On The Road collective. He is also trained as a clown in care institutions.
