  • TARANTA LANERA [ MODERN TARANTELLA ]

This all-female trio, created by Italian singer Mari LANERA, takes the world by storm ...

Embark on a dreamlike journey and discover an artistic proposal that is a truly modern interpretation of the texts and rhythms of the ancient tarantella of southern Italy. This work of reappropriation blends traditional instruments (violin, tamburello, salentin) with electronic practices, giving a revitalising aspect to the past.

TARANTA LANERA [ MODERN TARANTELLA ]

This all-female trio, created by Italian singer Mari LANERA, takes the world by storm ...

Embark on a dreamlike journey and discover an artistic proposal that is a truly modern interpretation of the texts and rhythms of the ancient tarantella of southern Italy. This work of reappropriation blends traditional instruments (violin, tamburello, salentin) with electronic practices, giving a revitalising aspect to the past.

This electrified concert sweeps the audience along. It begins with ballads of love and ends with dizzying rhythms where the heady melodies provoke a real state of trance.
From the Palais de Tokyo to the Planetarium in Poitiers, TARANTA LANERA has succeeded in converting audiences to this form of 'modern folklore', which places the spoken word at the centre of a dense, perpetual mass of sound.

A (sung) interlude, TARANTA LANERA warns us of the inevitable inversion of norms.

    Part 1 JOHANNES [ SYMPHONIES OBSESSIONNELLES ]

A delicate multi-instrumentalist, JOHANNES is somewhere between Jay-Jay Johanson and Klaus Nomi.
JOHANNES juggles layers of voice and instruments (violin, guitars, pads) to build his glass palace.
The acoustic softness of the strings rubs shoulders with the roughness of the machines, the bareness flirts with the orchestral, the fragile with the effervescent.
