Drawing concert: Versant Vivant

"Versant Vivant" is a sensitive, contemplative musical show that blends electro-acoustic compositions with a variety of live plastic manipulations. Using a variety of techniques (pencils, brushes, pens, chalk, watercolours, ink, etc.), Émilie Tarascou draws natural landscapes on camera, bringing them to life through animated sequences. To accompany this organic reverie, Simon Kansara creates live music of aerial loops that evolve with the drawing. Strummed or rubbed strings, winds, keyboards, beats... he uses a dozen instruments on stage. The dialogue between music and drawing is built around the question of time - tempos - which unfold on both sides of the stage.
