Sous nos yeux fermés (Before our closed eyes) – At the heart of climate change, blindness
A project by the Fil Obscura collective (Dorothée Machabert & Agnès Uthurriague)
Photography and textiles intertwine to question our view of a changing world.
Between contemporary art and documentary photography, Sous nos yeux fermés explores this paradox: we know, but we no longer see.

The works combine photographic images, tufted sculptures and immersive installations to give shape to what is falling apart – landscapes, memories, certainties.
Born out of a dialogue between visual artist Dorothée Machabert and textile artist Agnès Uthurriague, the exhibition depicts climate change through the prism of collective sensitivity and denial.
The work is rooted in Charente-Maritime, on already fragile coastal areas, where the beauty of the elements is confronted with their disappearance.
Public meeting and round table discussion on Friday 12 December at 6.30 pm: Climate denial, a collective blindness?
