Set off to discover the remarkable landscapes and heritage sites that make the Charente Estuary and Rochefort Arsenal a ‘Grand Site de France’. During a 5 km guided walking tour with commentary, local enthusiasts will reveal aspects of the town of Soubise that are closely linked to the Charente Estuary: its medieval history, the landscaping projects at the Jardin des Convergences and the Vallon de la Fontaine des Morts, and the various ways of crossing the Charente.

Please bring your own cup, water, suitable footwear and clothing appropriate for walking and the day’s weather. Pets are not permitted.

Walk organised by the Rochefort Océan Urban Community in partnership with the commune of Soubise, the Soubisiennes Voluntary Gymnastics Association, Les Rêveurs du Temps and the Development Council.
Registration opens on 20 August.
