MARS RED SKY [ HEAVY STONER PSYCHEDELIA ]

Steeped in the influences of Sonic Youth, The Jesus Lizard and My Bloody Valentine, the Bordeaux trio have established themselves as one of the leading lights on the European stoner scene.

From their inception in 2007, the band's quasi-cinematic songwriting and strange, singular sound have set them apart from the rest of the musical landscape.

MARS RED SKY claim to be totally detached from any consideration of musical genre, even if their compositions are at the crossroads of heavy rock, psychedelic heavy rock and stoner rock.

The formula feeds the imagination. Between ‘heavy and slow’, the band builds its own style in the footsteps of the pioneers of the underground.

Julien Pras's ethereal, melodic voice emerges from a thick, complex rhythm section, carried along by the lyricism of science-fiction literature.

Part 1: ROBOT ORCHESTRA [ POST ROCK SYMPHONIQUE ]

The tense, noisy post-hardcore of their early days is now adorned with post-rock ambiences, between furious passages and instrumental tracks with multiple twists and turns.

Robot Orchestra explores a new road, bringing with them albums by Fugazi, Radiohead and Mogwai.

Concert: 8.30pm - Doors open at 7.30pm for a convivial refreshment bar with organic and/or local Le Clos snacks.
