Rendezvous aux jardins at the Potager du Roy

- Friday 2 June from 6pm to 7pm: My voyage to the Southern Seas - musical reading offered by the Heritage Department, booking required at the Musée Hèbre.
Captain Nicolas Baudin left Le Havre in October 1800 for the great voyage to the Southern Lands ordered by the First Consul. And yet he was totally forgotten after his death on the island of France (Mauritius) in 1803. What happened on board the Geographer and the Naturalist?
In the company of Benoît Armand, a Didjeridoo player who creates a soundtrack, a mixture of ancestral and contemporary sounds, and the text of the guide-lecturer Maryse Vila-Cornellas.

- Saturday 3 June from 10.30am to 12pm: The Jardin des Retours, a garden in evolution. Visit proposed by the heritage department, reservation required at the Hèbre Museum.
Inaugurated in 1991, the Jardin des Retours, designed by the team of landscape architect Bernard Lassus, has become a national and world reference for the creation of contemporary gardens. Today, with climate change and the evolution of uses, it is necessary to reinterpret the management and development of the garden, while keeping its spirit.
In the presence of Michel Basse, guide and lecturer, Eric Bourdajaud, head of the green spaces and Laurent Dumas, project manager for the Grand Site Estuaire de la Charente-Arsenal de Rochefort, discover the challenges and changes in the management of this garden.

- Saturday 3 June from 2pm to 5pm: Journey into the world of sound in the Potager du Roy. Proposed by the Heritage Department. Free access.
Sound tour with a concert by Azar alias Anthony Carcone.
A concert conceived from the collection of garden sounds: plants, branches, leaves, wood, stones, insects and birds... He captures the sounds of the garden and transcribes them into notes. Transfer from reality to imagination.

- Saturday 3 June from 2pm to 5pm: The LPO in the King's vegetable garden
Come and share a convivial moment with an ornithologist from the Ligue pour la Protection des Oiseaux (LPO): games, advice... Free access.

- Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 June from 2pm to 6pm: the Potager du Roy
Come and discover and stroll through this educational garden cultivated by schoolchildren and the Rochefort Green Spaces Department.

- Sunday 4 June from 9.30am to 11am: Visit of the Jardin des Retours with two voices.
Visit of the Jardin des Retours by a heritage guide and a guide from the Ligue pour la Protection des Oiseaux.

- Sunday 4 June from 4 to 5 pm: Tales in the garden.
A garden is a place full of mysteries. A place of contemplation. Trees, plants, flowers spread their magic in a garden, and we also meet birds, their song and their music. In this place of dreams, Sophie Salleron, storyteller, will tell you stories in which nature has the upper hand.
