Sami has decided to embark on an ambitious project: writing his memoirs! Since he saw his grandmother, an eminent woman, do the same, why shouldn't he? At the tender age of six, and barely able to read and write, he is about to embark on a retrospective account of the key events in his short life.

Against the backdrop of a child's bedroom, a cheerful jumble of toys and skilfully cobbled-together musical machines, he begins by recalling his birth, a memory that is rather hazy for him. Then he recounts the saga of his time in crèche, a social world that was both harsh and festive. At nursery school, the very nebulous notion of work makes its appearance in his life. All this is punctuated by a series of disturbing family events, such as the birth of her little sister, which revives memories of her early youth. A clever stratagem helps her to immortalise her precious memories: songs.

David Lescot's theatrical writing blends with the music to create a play that is full of humour, mischievous and captivating. In his shows for young audiences, he succeeds with great accuracy in the risky challenge of writing at a child's level, transforming the banality of everyday life into extraordinary adventures. With this family show, the world of the very young will hold no more secrets for you!
