  • Paris, 1942. Joseph Haffmann, a Jewish jeweller, offers his employee Pierre Vigneau the chance to run his shop until the situation improves. Knowing that Pierre must also take the risk of smuggling his "former" boss into the shop, he finally accepts Joseph's offer on condition that Vigneau accepts his own... which is surprising, to say the least!
Delicate questions then arise: How do you keep your soul? Can you make a pact with evil? How can you not betray the one who has given you...

Winner of a Molière award at its premiere in 2018, Adieu M. Haffmann skilfully blends intimate intrigue with the turmoil of an era, using a little history to tell the big story. The playwright, Jean-Philippe Daguerre, has managed to inject just the right amount of humour and tenderness into a story that holds together from start to finish, culminating in an anthology scene that is both cruel and hilarious.

The play that won 4 Molières.
6 nominations at the 2018 Molières, 4 Molières awarded:
Including the Molière for Best Private Theatre Show and the Molière for Best Francophone Author for Jean-Philippe Daguerre.
