Theatre : The process

Cultural ,  Theatre in Rochefort
  • Claire is fifteen years old. She is pregnant. It's an "accident", as they say. What should she do? Tell Fabien? Not to tell him? Tell his mother? Have an abortion? Deep down, Claire feels it, a process has begun, right there in her body, she knows it and she will have to make a decision. Through her story, we accompany her during these few days where everything is played out or thwarted, between doubts, anger, multiple questions and intimate sensations.

This luminous text by Catherine Verlaguet, full of modesty, gentleness, tenderness, humour and commitment, is performed by Juliette Allain, who plays all the characters, the voices that run through her, that sometimes devour her. Alone on stage, she tells a life story, quite simply. It is the story of a Cornelian choice, between "it's your body, do what you want" and "it's a crime, don't do it".

Johanny Bert's sober and uncluttered direction is supported by a virtuoso animated film with a strong graphic universe, which expresses what is not said, what the young teenager feels, her inner world, her desires and fears.
