Jimmy Magardeau from Rochefort is an emerging artist on the current electro pop scene. He started music at a very early age with the drums and then devoted himself solely to the piano. As a teenager, he became interested in the saxophone, which he studied at the Michel-Legrand Conservatory of Music and Dance. This new instrumental practice gave him the opportunity to go to Michigan for three weeks to participate in the musical activities of the Blue Lake University Campus. This experience confirmed his professional orientation. Between his degree in musicology and his master's degree in music applied to visual arts at Lyon 2 (Université Louis-Lumière), Jimmy Magardeau works a lot, composes his music and produces his videos in total independence.
In parallel to the numerous videos broadcast on social networks, he directed his first short musical film, Le Bus, supported by the Centre National de la Cinématographie.
His influences range from Serge Gainsbourg to Philippe Katerine, including Ennio Morricone, Lomepal and Daft Punk. With Jimmy Magardeau, you have to keep your eyes and ears wide open. On stage, he is surrounded by the guitarist Axel Spiky and the drummer Tom Bénard. The solid experience of the two musicians brings an artistic ease to the project.
Last February, the trio took part in the "inouis du Printemps de Bourges" on the big stage of La Sirene, giving a highly acclaimed performance.
In the first part, you will find Adélys, always dressed in yellow "noble light in Norwegian" contrasting with the grey of the city. In Brussels, Montreal or Normandy, where she is originally from, she walks, writes, composes and produces electro songs that are encounters with the urban, the water and the body.
From the cleaning lady to the spider, the stories of her refrains give voice to the feminine and are a call to respect the living in a drifting world. Attracted by the Great North and by Klô Pelgag's music, she travelled to Quebec to perform at major festivals: Les Francofolies de Montréal, Coup de Coeur Francophone, the Festival de Petite Vallée in Gaspésie. There, she met the singer and producer Mell, with whom she collaborated on her first album, Toutes les Fenêtres et les Ruisseaux, due in 2023. Singer, video artist, woman, body-subject always in movement, Adélys leads an intense quest for freedom.
