The Constellation of Solitude, an exhibition by Azad Ziya Eren, explores solitude as a map linking collective trauma and human ties. It offers a visual and poetic journey, where history and memory intertwine. Inspired by Walter Benjamin's ‘aura’, the illustrations transform solitude into a constellation of experiences. The exhibition explores the tension between the individual's historical roots and his or her aspiration to timelessness. The series explores a range of themes: ‘Pathétique Profondément’ evokes Rimbaud, Baudelaire and Gilgamesh; ‘Aquarium Humain’ evokes tragic migrations; ‘Alexandre Papillon’ explores a father-son journey; and ‘Il y a de l'Encre sous Toutes les Solitudes’ links the Dersim Massacres and Guernica.
By integrating poems and manuscripts, the exhibition becomes a constellation in which each work sheds light on a part of the human condition. Solitude is revealed not as an absence, but as a space for silent dialogue between past and present, a journey between loss and hope.
